Today is Dallas Zoo’s $1 day! Dollar Day at the zoo means that everyone ages 3+ gets in for just $1. Kids 2 and under are free. The zoo will be open 9 AM – 5 PM.
Special deals include:
• $1 admission (free for 2 and under and Zoo members)
• $1 selected snack items
• $1 nectar to feed the lorikeets
• $2 Endangered Species Carousel
• $5 giraffe feedings
• $8 parking (limited)
Tips for fun at the zoo:
Take the DART Rail Red Line to avoid the traffic and parking!
There are water play areas in the Lacerte Family Children’s Zoo. Make sure to bring a change of clothes if you’re going to let the kids cool off in the water.
You can bring in coolers with drinks and food to avoid any food costs, though they will most likely have $1 food deals. No glass, alcohol, or single-use straws.
Bring your wagon or strollers to tote the kids around or rent one at the zoo. It’s $8 for a single stroller and $12 for a double.
The GPS-based map system will take you step-by-step to the animal or encounter of your pick.
Make sure and feed the giraffes! This is my kids’ favorite thing to do at the Dallas Zoo, as you can tell by Carebear’s face. You can get a handful of crackers for $5 which is plenty to share between a few kiddos.
