Walgreens $10 Challenge

***New! Make sure and add the Everyday Points Perk to your Balance Rewards Card.  You’ll earn 10 points for every $1 you spend through 12/31/17.  It’s not a lot, but it’ll add up!

Here’s the challenge: take $10 and buy as much as you can while taking advantage of Walgreens Register Reward deals (RR) and Balance Reward Points (BRP).

Tips:

  • Do multiple transactions!
  • Don’t spend BRP on items that give you back BRP.  You won’t get the BRP.
  • Don’t spend RR on the same item.  You won’t get RR.
  • Flip flop back and forth between BRP deals and RR deals to stretch your $10 as far as you can!
  • The number of coupons you use must be less or equal to the number of items.  (Including your RRs)
  • Split them up through the week, or do them all in one trip – whatever is easiest for you!

Here’s the scenario I came up with this week:

Transaction #1

  • Buy (1) Colgate Total Toothpaste 4 or 4.2 oz for $3.49
  • Buy (1) Scope, Oral B Toothbrush, or Crest toothpaste for $2.99
    • Use (1) $0.50/1 Colgate Toothpaste, exp. 6/13/15 (SS 05/31/15)
    • and (1) $1/1 Crest Toothpaste or Gel 5/31 PG or $1/1 Oral B Toothbrush 5/31 PG or $1/1 Scope, exp. 6/30/15 (P&G 05/31/15)
  • Final Price: $4.98, get back $3 rr
